Kinda random problem with the car, its a 5spd GS 97 and every few times i start the car and go to leave, i put the e-brake down and the brake light stays on, it wont reset unless i turn the car on and off a few times. Its more annoying than anything, anyone got any pointers?

 

WD-40 the ebrake cable it may be a stuck cable that wiggles loose from vibration of car turning off then on then off 90% of the time it is the cable is just stiff a little lube should take care of it.

 

Couple of thoughts here.
Have you tried raising and lowering the handle to see if the switch is sticking. It is at the base of the handle just under the edge of the center console. Easy to get to if the E-brake cover is off.
The master cylinder may need fluid. Same light. After going through your routine you may have hit the brake pedal a couple of times and stired the fluid. It may look full with the cap on because the rubber drops down and look like level.
