Default brakes and rotors

i need new brakes and rotors because over 60 and braking shake pretty bad. i found a site that offers all 4 rotors and all pads for 250 bucks. is this a decent set?

**sorry, got tired of scrolling over**

yeah they're pretty decent. i got a set of rotors (front/rear) with pads from R1 concepts a little cheaper, but i would go with BrakePlanet.com's set. the only thing that i noticed was that these rotors eat up pads a little faster than OE because of the slots. but it eliminates glazing 100% and stops on a dime.

Be sure to get ceramic or metallic pads because those slots and holes will eat regular pads up fast. It will also put A LOT of brake dust all over the place.

Glazing bacically is caused from overheating of the brake pads and causing the resin within the pads to start to go into a liquid form and make it difficult to stop and also gives a good chance of warping the rotors. This mostly happens for a number of reasons. 1. would be extreme braking 2. bad brake pads. This is where it is good to have drilled rotors because they reduce heat.

And getting ceramic brake pads will 100% help greatly on the on brake dust. You will notice squelling from them every now and then which is perfectly normal

I prefer slotted discs because the rotor isn't perferated, which only thins out the rotor because material has been removed completely through and through. Slotted discs has just enough to "bite" on the pads. The slots are also slotted out to the effective range of the disc. In othe words, the rotors will become thinner after getting the rotors rotated so many times and the slots serve the dual purpose of being an indicator as to how much material you have left to turn.

however slotted do not decrease the heat as well as cross drilled do
