burning out is good, BUT on street tires you don't want to sit there for a full 20-30 seconds like the ppl do with slicks, just enough to get the water off and clean the tires off is all you really need to do on street tires. on our tree here what i do is line up on the VERY back of the second yellow, so i have a good 3-4 inches before i actually leave the launch area, then as soon as i see the 3rd yellow light i launch, what this does is by the time the green comes up you are just leaving the launch area and you already have a roll/head start, this will quicken up your 60ft time and reaction time.
