Default Car Dies and Check Lights Come on

The sputter is gone now that the car is running with proper spark plugs. I found that the positive terminal was loose enough to lift off the post with one finger, replaced that connection. Now the car will start and run fine, except every once in a while the car will shut off, and the check oil light and check engine light come on at the same time. The car can be running at 40 mph or just sitting at idle it sometimes just dies. The dealership told my friend that she may have a bad PCM. Does that sound familiar to anyone? Thanks for the help.

I have checked to make sure that the plugs are getting spark and all four seem to be hitting just fine. I have no clue about any of the costs on this car since I am doing all of this as a favor for my friend. Do you know what the labor and cost of a new PCM would be if I did the work my self? Thank you.
