just put hood pins on and leave the latch on, that solves both problems of it not flying up on you, and nobody can steel it without being able to get in your car first

cant you just pull the latch release, get out, undo the pins and open the hood like normal? Nothing different in that process that how its done now.

I have seen hoods fly open that are steel from not being latched all the way. I think if you have a good carbon fiber hood with a good latch then you shouldnt have a problem. Make sure the latch is adjusted tight and make sure it goes far into the slot on the hood good and you should be safe. Are these carbon fiber hoods cheap knock offs being installed in some young kids backyard? If the hood isnt sized properly and put on to where the latch barley catches then any hood will fly open.

well kinda, you'd need to get out, undo the pins, then go back in to pull the latch release, then go up front and open it like normal... not rocket science obviously, just an extra step, but no real big deal

id say latch it and use pins both, and dont forget to put pins in it if you do, my friend forgot his and he was test drivin it after puttin in a new turbo and once it hit 110 the hood flew open, nearly crashed, screwed his windshield and the hood was effed. the pins look cool anyways if you ask me id definately use them
