Ok, kidding aside, there really is no cheap mod that will give you a lot of gains. Basic starter mods usually focus on the intake and exhaust which will give you noticeable gains (I didn't say lots) for under $1K. Take DSMTalonAWD51's advice and search the forum. There are many discussions on the subject.
