Default check engine light question

Hey everyone,
The other day i was drivin' and notice the lights on my car would momentarily go dim when i was listening to the radio in my car. I stopped at a liquor store and it wouldn't start, so i messed with the battery terminal and everything powers up fine now, but my check engine light came on. I check the alternator and it seems to be working fine. Anyone got any ideas to what it could be? feedback would greatly be appreciated, thanks

Default RE: check engine light question

did you check the alternator or did a shop. if you did i would take it to checker or auto zone and have a voltage test to make sure it isn't getting ready to burn up.
