Default Clutch Replacement "How To" Websites????

I have a 96 GSX with a 6bolt swap (manual tranny), and I am ready to replace my clutch and flywheel, however I would like to see a site similar to this http://home.comcast.net/%7Eget435dsm...es/1gnatp.html. Step by step instructions, but I dont have a first gen, and my car is turbocharged so this does me no good. Please post anything you know as soon as possible, because I drove about 4 hours to a friends house to do this job, and we are scratching our heads whether or not this is feesable for us to do. Thanks again.

Well we finally dropped the transfer case, and after a hell of a time the transmission too. The clutch was worn down to the metal plate on both sides...heh...pretty bad I know, but I'ts now replaced with an ACT 2900 Clutch and ACT Flywheel. Tommorow we plan to put the transmission back up into place and sew everything back up. Wish me luck.

I agree this is the best website for any turbo 1gen and 2gen cars. A whole lot of info there.

umm...its been 3 hours trying to put the F$#%ing transmission back up, and its being a beotch. Just thought I'd post some of our progress. *sigh*......I love my car....I love my car......I love my car.........If I didn't love my car this wouldn't be worth the hassle in a million years. Well once we get the transmission back up we can pretty much hook the transfer case back up, and the starter too then sift through everything to make sure its set right. Then......we should be finished with the drivetrain area. The engine should be finished as well as we finished that 2 days ago, I will then lower the car and run it for about 15 to 20 minutes to work in the new cams. I think my last project will then be installing the B&M short shifter. ehhh.......so much work.....so little time. haha. I hope everyone else is having a less stressful weekend, lol.

2 projects I probably wont get to will be relocating the new Optima battery to the back of the car, and installing the HKS turbo timer. Those I can do at a later time I guess.

haha, at least you didn't have a dealership put a ACT clutch/and lightweight flywheel in for you...then charge you 1000$ b/c the guy had to drop the tranny 3x's and readjust before he could get the clutch to engage properly...

im a licensed tech...
from what i hear thats lack of competence !!! its like giving a mokey a wrench ... would you pay for that ???
i get paid flat rate, if the book says that the job pays 3.8 hrs thats what i get regardless if i finish early or i double the time !!!
the coustomer gets charged that time nothin more or nothing less !!! the only time i get straight time is if i run into or have to replace broken bolts.

Also if any repair fails or causes colateral damages is covered by the dealership and i gat paid jack **** !!!
