The eclipse i just bought the other day had a week alternator, so they put a new one in it, but now it says code on my radio, can anyonetell me where to find the code for it? It is the infinit unit that came with the car by the way. Also whoever had the car before me kept the stock six disc unit from the back. The base unit is still there but they swiped the part that holds the six cd's. Does anybody know where i could get another one from? Thanks for any help.

 

Well there are two things that you could do to get the code. One is all cars came with a card that had the radio code on it. Most people stuck them in the owners manual. If you dont have that then you must call a mitsu dealer with your VIN # and they can give you the code

 

i had to give them my serial number on the top of the radio!!! just pull the plastic piece off of the radio in the middle.

Okay so what do you do to get that plastic cover off, do you pop it off with a screw driver or something?

 

Yes a screwdriver will pop the center piece out. Only thing to remember make sure the clips that hold th plastic face in stay on it i had to buy more when i did this because i lost them when i took it out. lol

 

Justgot it off...d*** metal bracket cut my thumb when it popped out...but i got the s# so hey thats a start, now just have to wait until tommorow to call the mits place and get my code, Thanks for the help
