Default Cold air intake question

I currently have a 1997 eclipse gs and I want to add a cold air intake!

I'm probably going to get this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/95-99-ECLIPSE-RS-GS-COLD-AIR-INTAKE-SYSTEM-NON-TURBO-NT_W0QQitemZ360164129261QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_ Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item53db7479ed&_t rksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=65%3A1|39%3A1|240%3A 1318

Any opinions/things to watch out for? I know there's several posts in the forum warning against ebay parts and I'm just wondering if it's just not durable or what. It's still made from the same aluminum as other intakes, right? The reviews for the seller's item seem pretty good and the ones about the intakes they sell seem good too.

Oh go for it .. just don't buy crucial parts for your car on Ebay like a timing belt etc.

I'm sure others will disagree but I've found some good deals on Ebay for cosmetics for friends and my own autos. I still go to the dealer and OEM sources for anything else like belts, engine, transmission, suspension, etc parts.

Ah, alright, I'll probably go for it.
In terms of preventing hydrolocking, does anyone know any cheap bypass valves for cold air intakes? The AEM bypass valves are very expensive.

Edit: or should I just go for a short ram intake so I don't have to get a bypass?
