Default Confirmation of problem

Just wanting other opinions. Is this an early sign of a wheel bearing problem. I am noticing a sort of squeal noise. Its almost like break squeal just not as high pitch. It happens at about anything over 10mph breaking and non breaking doesn't seem to affect the noise. The squeal noise picks up as the car speeds up. In neutral i can rev and not hear a thing so its not coming from the engine. So my assumption is wheel bearing since i already changed 2 prior but they were completely done and were wobling.

a wheel bearing doesnt make a squeek and only makes a noise during turning. Im guessing its your brake pads. Does the noise go away when you hit the brake? Just take a look at them. I bet they are worn

the noise is there when breaking and when not breaking.. would a bad rear diff make squealing noise.. i am hoping it just break pads.. i got some crappy rotors and brake pads. For all 4 cost it came to 120 but this was about a year ago..

it could be the "tell tale" its a little piece of metal the scrates the rotor when ur pad is low to tell u that they are low.

yea but he's sayin that there isnt a fluctuation of the sound when he depressed the brake pedal... if it were his brakes he would notice a difference in the sound, either less or more, so it cant be that. as far as the rear diff, have you check the fluid? or any leaks around the differential? that kinda happened to my blazer, it was making a weird noise, then all of a sudden while i was driving to school my rear end locked up on me... no good... so when i got it home i checked underneath and there was fluid all over the place and the inside of the diff was dry... bad seal... had to rebuild the whole rearend, then sold it... so check that out
