Depending how far out of time the engine is (IF this is the problem) you'll likely be replacing 8 or more valves as ALL pistons will be that far out of time. You're looking at a head job but if it's not TOO far out of time the pistons likely are fairly safe. They may have small marks in them but they can still be used. If you're building a racer then you might want them replaced but for daily driving as long as there is no loose metal in there you're good to go. IMHO.

true that theoretically it could happen to any car but it's just an unspoken law on here that the 7 bolts are nitorious for it and the 6 bolts are not... as a matter of fact i don't think i've ever heard of anybody walkin the crank in a 6 bolt.

Okay were you able to fix the problem with out any major damage. And as soon as the sound started i was like F that and pulled over the car and it still sits there. But how much did you end up spending to fix it all in all.
