Default Creaking sound...

Hi! Im the new owner of a '96 Eclipse GS passed down from a family friend. Lately i've heard a pretty loud creaking sound when I turn the wheel while driving. The wheel isn't stiff or difficult to turn so I don't think it's the power steering... any ideas?

is it more of a creaking or kinda popping? if it is creaking it might be the suspension being old and kinda squeekin.. if it is popping, it might be the CV joints due to possibley a cracked CV boot and not having the proper lubrication in there

No, it's not popping, just creaking.

does it do this while the car is parked.....i'd say have a buddy turn the steering wheel if it does make the soundwhile parked and pin-point it, its probably a CV joint worn or something of that nature.

nah, the CV joint dont squeek, it pops.. maybe your suspension is just squeeking because it is getting wore out, it is a possibility

Either A. worn out ball joints or tie rod ends.

or B. check your PS fluid.

Most likely A.
2gs had a Ball Joint recall so thats my best guess.
