Default Cuttin out REAL BAD

Here's a question for ya guys. My car runs beautiful at an idle, or under real easy driving. However, when ya get on the throttle at all it cuts out terribly. It's like the ignition is just shutting off for a split second and then comin back on, then start over. I checked the plugs and they were all toasted. Burnt black. Replaced. No better. Found a loose plug wire. Replaced the wires. No luck. Took it to a mitsu dealer and they looked at the new plugs and wires and hooked it up to their scan tool and couldn't find a thing wrong. Of course it was sitting at an idle so everything was perfect...

A buddy of mine says maybe throttle pos. sensor. Any input on that? Another buddy says coil packs. We took it out and it seems to nothave any problemuntil you're on the throttle and gettin about 12+ lbs of boost. Doesntmatter what gear or how fast. The other odd part is that it seems to come out of itat about 5,000rpm. ???

Any clues you guys can give would be just great. I don't know a better group of minds to pick than a bunch of hardcore mitsu fans and drivers.
