I have an issue with my instrument lights. Everything that runs off the dimmer switch is out. No speedo, tach, AC dials nada. Looking at the dimmer plug there are 3 wires - a black/yellow wire, brown (I think), and Black.

If I connect the power lead (black/yellow) to the ground will it bypass the switch? I don't need the dim function right now just lights.

 

If you have no dash lights check your fuses.

 

ya.. If you dont have ANY lights.. Most likely a fuse..

 

I have all the warning lights, srs, check engine, brake, brights, both turn sigs....everything that is controlled by the dimmer switch is out. All fuses are good (that was the first thing I checked. I also replaced all bulbs.
