Default Daytime running lights in Eclipse GS 04

Hello, Does anyone know how to turn on daytime running lights in Eclipse GS 04. This is the standard feature in Canada and i'm require to have during the sagety inspection. I'm importing the car from USA so the feauture is not on.
Is it build in and disabled for the US market?

Thx, JG

I'm not sure, but I don't think that the 04 GS's have daytime running lights. You might want to just turn your regular headlights on when you go for the inspection. Do they care if the spedometer is in miles instead of kilometers?

Either that or trace down the wiring for the lights and run them into the fuse block to have them come on when the car is powered up.

Thanks for the info guys, I will buy "do it yuorself kit" here and try to wire it to the car, I was hoping that the factory would make it identically for the us and canadian market but I guess there are some wiring differences.
The meter is allways in miles and kmters the difference is which one is larger.
I do not thnk that they care about the displaying of the trip miles versus to km reading.
anyway, any info is appretiated

Yeah it shouldn't be too difficult to wire it up. You may have to check in a manual and see what parts the american car doesn't have and see if you can get a hold of those and just splice things in.
