Default done everything...still smokes!

ok i have a 97 Gst spyder w/ a few mods listed at the bottom. The problem that i noticed one day it was smoking blue smoke at idle and when i would take off at a stop light but not while i am driving it down the road. Blue smoke=oil burning. So i took it to my buddy that builds DSM engines all the time and he performed a compression test and said it was the rings. I agreed because the compression was off but i thought it was ackward because the car only has 88K on it. While he had the block apart i told him to go ahead and replace the rod bearings and main thrust bearings along with the rings. Well he put it all back together and its STILL smoking! So now hes putting new valve guides and seals in the head and were gonna see if that solves anything. Its not the turbo burning the oil either because it got rebuild 6 months ago and i pulled off the downpipe and its dry and the intercooler pipes are dry. If the new seals and guides dont solve the smoking problem what else could it be!!! The only thing i can think of is rings, valve seals, or turbo and if its not the seals idk what it is. Any ideas of what else to check out??

97 GST spyder
3in turbo back no/cat
injen intake
upper and lower piping
MBC
MSD wires
HSK ssqv bov recirculated
ACT 2100 clutch
other body mods.....

well it would depends on how the #'s came out. But the guides and seals are probably the best bet.
