Hey have any of you guys changed the outside door handle of a eclipse. I need to do it on my 97 GS so i was hoping you guys coud give me a heads up. Thanks in advanced.

 

yes i have its a bitc* there is a back screw facing the rear of the car that will give you hell with removing and instaling the new one. other than that they are cake work. When i did it i have to have the bolts in the window removed and have somone hold it as high as it would go to get the screw back in.

 

stupid eclipse door handles!!! mine broke off a couple years ago

 

Changed both of mine not too long ago. It's a lot easier if you loosen the door latch. Makes getting the rod on a lot easier.
