well let me just say that my car has run 14.29 as i have announced earlier and there are a lot of 6 cylinder mustangs out there compared to the 8. most people who prolly own a mustang dont realize the difference between a V6 and a V8. My mustang stock gets 265hp and 302ft lbs of torque. once it hits third it starts to move some. the mustangs are just the same with eclipses, there are a lot of them out there.

 

the differance our cars look damn good and we get good gas mileage. Sorry if that sounds rude but i dont like the stang look.

 

i pretty much like all the mustang styles even the lx's back in the 80s. my car gets decent gas mileage for a V8. gets about 17 aroudn the city and 23 on the highway. id say thats pretty damn good. whatever your preference is it doesnt matter.

 

GT's and Cobras are two diffrent cars it's like a neon and an srt-4 look alike but everything under the shell is different. A 99-02 Cobra is 310 hp and the 03-04 is 390 hp.

 

so....the 03-04's are deadlier.....what about the weight???

 

the cobra is a while different breed of car, especially the 03+ cobras, factory blown...the older ones are all cupcakes...ive seen an 04 cobra drive into the track, chage the tires, and run 10.02 with a driver AND passenger...the next round he had to run my buddy in his 15 second DSM, and the cobra blew a blower belt, and ran a 17 something...it was pretty funny..and my buddy wouldnt let the other guy live it down...hahaha

 

I believe the cobra weights a little more then a GT because Cobras have IRS but I could be wrong. They didn't make any changes to the interior to loose weight, but if you can find a 00 Cobra R they remove everything out of the exterior no luxuries its also comes with a different body style.

 

i think that 04 cobra you saw run a 10 second pass had a lil more work done than just tires....i saw a new 03 at the track in 02 with 500 miles stock run a 12.55 so im gonna have to call bluff with a 10 sec stock cobra.....my.02..
