I own a 98 eclipse GS and i spun a rod bering. I was wandering if the 98 Neon motor would be able to be instaled into my eclipse?

 

If I recall correctly, the neon 420a sits differently, the intake mani was towards the nose rather than the exhaust mani. I recently went to the junkyard and started checkin them out. I could be mistaken, but thats what I remember seeing.

If anyone else has any information now would be the time to correct me lol

 

Yes you are right about the intake mani being in the front, but the enginge block is the same right. So shouldnt you be able to just switch the heads with each other?

 

Ohh meaning just the block alone? hmm I really dont know. I would imagine yea the block stays the same its the head that changes.
