Angry ECU help

so im 99.99% sure that my ecu just took a dump on my 96 gst. so now the question is, is there a aftermarket computer that is chipped or programmable that i can buy that will totally replace my messed up computer and isn't just a bold on to the computer to program it. if so where do i get such a thing. and if not any ideas?

AEM EMS... its the top of the line programmable standalone.. but it can be pretty daunting if you don't know what you're doing. dsmchips.com sells ecu's with chips that may be a better option for you and will still allow you some degree of tunability.
