engine light

Default engine light

I have brought my 98 eclipse gs to several mechanics including mitsubishi and I keep getting different answers.I keep getting an engine code P1494 and I have changed many parts including the computer(mitsubishi recommended), the purge valve and the oxygen sensor. I have spent alot of money and no one can fix the problem . please help me I want the check engine light off.

if its the evap system you screwed thats like cancer for our cars. It will never go away. But it sounds like maybe bank one to rich? Or mid stream o2 sensor thats the common ones for the 420a.
