boost creep has no limit. What boost creep is, is the wastegate being overrun and cant handle all the flow so it just continues to allow the turbine to recieve air which in turn continues to let the compressor create more boost pressure.

That said i think dsm is on the right track. Try running only off the wastegate and see what happens. If that doesnt work then spend the $60 and get a MBC which you should have gotten in the first place

No, it will keep going.

Think about it this way.

You put a hole in a bag, and for 20 mins you don't blow that hard. Then all of a sudden you start blowing 10x harder, and the hole can no longer push air out at an efficient enough rate. So what happens? The pressure in the bag continuously rises until you stop blowing into it.

You might also want to check the line going to the wastegate. Make sure it's on there good and tight. Also might want to run a compressor to the wastegate and make sure it opens as it should. If all that checks out, you are just getting boost creep.

My s16g w/ only vacuum and no mbc on a stock downpipe will stay abt 9-10 psi. W/ the 3" dp it spikes to 18 psi and goes back down to 9-10 psi.
