hey, I need some exhaust for my 1998 GST and im going to buy two universal mufflers and bring them down to the shop and have him hook my up with some dual types of mufflers, but any suggestions on types? im looking fora raspier throatier sound as apposed to the low bass sounding exhaust. thanks

 

Be glad you have the rorty mitsu sound, it's very hard to replicate in many other imports. If you want yourgst to sound like a v8, the best route to go is with the apexi n1 cat-back. Dualies would give it a nice sound high in the rev range, but wouldn't sound too good in the lower or at idle. What i mean by not sounding good, is it would be droning-begging-for-fuel type of sound. Single exhuasts are great for giving power and sound, but they still sound like a 4-banger. If you're getting the custom exhaust, get a 2.75" andtwo apexi n1 mufflers. You can get the n1's for like$120 off ebay. Don't go for the $20 imitations...you'll regret it later. Hope this helps and good luck.
