front main crank seal

Default front main crank seal

hey guys i finally got my parts to do my front main crank seal.... how do i break the bolt loose on the crank? is it right or left hand thread? i tried to use an impact gun (1000 lb trq) but i couldnt budge it.... Any help would be awesome!.... thx

Its normal right hand thread. You might need a bigger impact to break that loose. If you have a manual trans put it in 5th gear then have a helper hold the brakes & use a breaker bar,
Just a tip if you can still run the engine the bolt comes out alot easier when its warm sometimes.

What youve never seen a good impact before? lol. 1000 Ft Lb rating is max output, if your not feeding it enough air volume it wont do near that. Like the cheap *** regulators that come on small compressors cant flow near enough CFM to run those.
IR thunder gun is a nice one to have

Did you get your bolt out?
