Default FuelFilter - location pissing me off

Ok, I have been given two locations on this forum.. by the passenger rear tire, and under the battery. I can tell you its not under the battery, I've looked twice. And I dont know how the hell its near the tire, maybe I overlooked. But here's a site I found showing that you have to remove the back seats and ****.

Someone please explain. I'm getting sick of trying to find this thing and it's pissing me off. [:@]

well thats where it is at. the 3G and the 2G fuel pumps are exactly the same. and the fuel filter for the 3G is attached to the fuel pump. so thats where it is at.

you didn't check a haynes manual?

Dude easiest way to find the fuel filter is walk the line. Find your fuel line under the car and trace it to the fuel rail. The only way you can replace the fuel filter on the fuel pump itself is to buy a new fuel pump. The sock filter on the pump itself is meant to be changed only with the pump. You won't find them sold seperate.

i removed the left hand side one and that's where all the fuel lines go... whoops.. I also looked down in there and I saw the filter.. I'm guessing I have to jack the car up to get to it.. because there's no way I can from the passenger seats

i found the filter by itself right by the rear passenger tire, i just wasnt looking in the right place last time.. its laying in a little cradle. I just can't seem to get the bolts off... i sprayed them with some penetrating oil.. letting it sit now.. if I can't get it off after that I'm just gonna say screw it.
