Uhm, you have a rev limiter... I believe its integrated into your ECU. Though you may wanna check with TheEngineer. Hes good with that type of thing. Once again, though Ive never heard of transfer cases just shattering under normal conditions... Maybe, check the TSBs and see if there was a problem with your boys transfer case that Mitsu is aware of?

i've never heard of transfercase problems in the GSX's. i'd go gsx all the way! you can't bea awd launch!! also, if you get to 300whp in a fwd car you are going to spin 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for a sec when you hit full boost. awd at 650whp you will CATCH 2nd and that's it.

well then how bout this... wat would happen if i launched a gsx at the highest rpm possible (assuming the rev limiter will stop it at some point)? wouldnt that damage something?? anything? nothing?

The clutch would slip a little.. and you would smell it. You might get all 4 tires loose but all in all the car will stay together. After a few times you might find that you have roasted your clutch : ) Depending on if you released it slowly (slipping it) or just dumped it taking your foot off it in a snap... that would prolly make all 4 wheels go loose.

I havnt heard of GSX t-cases going boom before however i have heard of them leaking a little. That is something you need to check.

The GSX is like a baby evo in a lot of ways...
