I'm thinking of swapping my 4g63 with the galant 4g63...
The galant engine has that thing at the end of the camshaft on the passenger side(dont know what the call it in english) like the jdm engine. And right next to it it's writen 2.5......and on the engine code it's write exactly like that... 4g63
62 65

Anybody knows anything about that engine and if it's a good enough swap.

 

the engine code is write right next/behind the turbo on the right side...
writen 4g63
(something)62 65
and between the 2 camshaft on the left side 2.5 is write on....on my 4g63 it's writen 6k(something)

The guy I'm getting it from says it has bigger pistons better cranks...**** like that...
Sounds sketchy...
I really would appreciate all the help and info i could get about that 4g63 cause i'm probebly dowing the swap pretty soon.

Like does any one know about those engine codes...The guy who's getting me the used engine explained to me what it refered but I dont trust him...he says the engine strokes from 2.0 to 2.5 and that is refered but the "62 65" and the camshafts are modded....I dont know...never heared of a 4g63 that strokes up to 2.5...there is a 4g65 though on the evo6 so i dont know...he says that that engine came already tuned by mitsubishi...I'm sure my mechanic would know what those codes refer to but he'll be back this saturday/sunday and I want to get as much info i could get from anywhere i can...oh and has a 14b turbo

 

Damn mother f**cker...the codes turned out to be just references nothing else...the funny thing the guy who gets those used engine showed me a norma 1g 4g63T with a 4g64 bottom end for 500$ all hooked and I give him my engine....told him I didnt want it....
A couple of month later I tell him I was mod my engine and ****....he's I'll mod it for 1500$ all cutom made obviously +turbo+ intercooler piping and a ecu to cancle all the factory limits...then he's like he doesnt have time to do and he a friend who has that other engine I was talking about at the begining (the code engine) all moded and ****....and he was gonna sell me that stock 4g63 for 1100$...and he was pressuring me to put a deposite...damn rip offs

 

he dont know what he is talking about. The thing at the end of the cam shaft is the Cam Possision sensor, 2g 4g63 have 2 sensors in diffrent spots.

I have never heard of a 2.5L 4g63!
