i replaced BOTH o2s. rear one was a little of a pain.
anyways
i took the negitive cable off the battery to reset it.
still had a check engine light and smoke was blowng out. which im no worried about cause it should b just left over oil burning..

how long did you leave it off the neg? What code was your car giving?

i would bring it to autozone to get a more accurate engine code than the key dance

 

Is the car running smooth or missing???
Have you looked at the plugs or down in the cylinder while the plugs are out. Check the plug wires at the coil. I had a post that was green with corrosion, not much fire there.

 

is backfires a little when i take off. quick little bursts.
i have brand new plugs.
ill get wires.
i still think the cat has something to do with it
