There is one thing you all forgot a big art is the driver if he cant drive for s*%$t then at the verry least hold dim if not get him off the start. Another thing you have to take into account is traction. because you have less hp you will more likely launch better cause of less wheel spin off the line. but if he is a decent driver i would have to say youll get beat. not that there is nothing wrong with that. after all its not like its a riced out civic thats going to beat you its a built rx7.

yeah, we were debating.. i told him i have more experience racing my car, and that i would be able to control my wheelspin... but he said that he has a limited slip rear and that he plans on catching me. he already assumed i would out dig him... i am gonna tell him to try and not throw it too far over 400hp for reliability reasons. i think his car should beat me, but considering i may be a better driver and i shift very quikly (almost unnoticably) that i could try to be the better driver. i will be surprised and impressed if i beat him!

i still am wondering about the power aspect of the sbr evo3 turbo. they pushed 420 hp and 460ft lbs to the wheels. what would it take for me to get around 350 outta my mods with that turbo? do i need bigger injectors? maybe dsm link instead of an afc neo? what are your opinions? it is proven the turbo can get over 400hp...

I dont even think youll win from a stop. No offense to you either. But the RX7s can launch along side some AWD cars. Keiths RX7 pulled the exact same 60fts as my Evo not that I am great at launching. RX7s make no TQ so its easy to not spin tires. and with drag radials it is really really hard to spin. Keiths RX7 has DRs on his and he cant even do donuts the car gets crazy traction and his car is as fast as my Evo and ym car is a low 12 sec car and capible of 11s with small tweaks

hmm... that is intersting to know.. and yeah, since our cars put out a hefty amount of trq it would be a huge difference... i was just assuming cuz he really has not raced his car at all... especially with that kinda power.... that is a different thing to think about though... lack of trq could be a big benefit for him i guess.

yea dont let them fool you the car is only a 1.3L motor so all the TQ is makes is after spool up. so even if they spin tires its easy to recover. and RWD is even easier to recover than FWD

I would start by looking at a different turbo for yourself.. Slowboy racing has had a lot of bad incidents.. Check out some of the turbos from force performance..
