Having trouble getting the head off my '97 GS, have the exhaust, side and front engine mounts, cam gears, valve cover, head bolts out, and timing cover off, would like to keep intake on the head so its easier to swap to new head. what am i missing yet. thanks

There may be mounts holding the head to the block under the intake manifold. But why did you remove the engine mounts to remove the head?

Is it moving off the block at all? Sometimes there are alot of small hoses that you may be missing or wiring.

Not sure if the 420a has the same setup as the 4g63, but on the 4g63 it has a bracket on the backside of the head underneath that bolts up to the block, like TE said. I would check that.. And make sure you have all the head bolts out.. Make sure you didnt forget/miss one.
