I forgot to ask, but was it just the headgasket that went out or is the head warped?

 

St. Louis is about a 2 hour drive from me. If you'd really be interested I'd put in the effort to go out in the cold and find the head. PM me if its something you'd be interested in. We coulddiscuss it further via pm.

hey i got a question. would cams from lets say a 2nd gen gst or cams from a 4g63 motor in general work it a 2nd gen 420a? if so..... for better or worse?

 

Considering they are 2 totally different motors and lobe sizes i assume they would not but hey if u try it let us know.

 

i know that they are different motors. but wat i was thinkin is that if a 4g63 cam is bigger. wouldnt almost b putting in a stage 1 cam?

 

I don't think you can swap the 4G63/T cams on a 420A. The CAS on the 4G63/T motor is on the intake cam while the 420A is on the exhaust. I think by the time your done figuring things out you would have probably been better off buying a stage1 or 2 for your specific motor.
