Alright i have not taken the headlight off my eclipse in a long time and im strugling to do it right now. Does anyone here have a 2g eclipse that knows how many bolts are on the headlight holding it in? Its a 96 eclipse and i removed 2 bolts up top and if your at the right headlight, 2 bolts from the right side. It seems like their might be a bolt on the bottom of the headlight but their is no way to get to the bottom of the headlight. Any info would be nice.

 

i believe someone else was having similiar problems. IDK if maybe you had to take other stuff off as well just to access all the bolts.

 

to get to the bolt on the bottom you need to remove the front bumper. or you can try to get a socket w/ an extention on it between the light and the bumper.

 

Ok i got it out and you cant remove the front bumper before the headlights because their is clips holding the bumper in directly under the headlight. I had very slowly work a ratchet with an extension to the bolt and once i loosend it i had to kill my hand turning it myself.

 

Doncha just LOVE how they make things to easy to remove on these cars? At least you know someone won't be stealing your front bumper without 3 hours and patience like a rock... BTW Just wait till you have to put it back IN...
