Headlights Removal/Install
What's up gang! I have a '99 eclipse and I'm putting projector headlites on it. The only problem is that I don't know how to remove or install them. I want to do it myself so I can save some $. Pliz Hlp.
its easy there are a few bolts on top of them holding them to the car after you take them off pull the light and it comes out some have a ball that pops in under neath it sounds like you break something but it works
You have to take off the front bumper first because there are 2 bolts underneath it that hold the bottom of the headlight to the body of the car. I think they're right above the bumper support.
Although i've never taken out 2g headlights before, i've never had to remove an entire bumper to take them out. I do body work so i've taken apart my fair share of them.

hmm I don't know guys. When I removed my headlights to swap in the projectors there are 2 bolts holding in the bottoms. Maybe its just a 95-96 thing because they changed the headlights for the 97-99 eclipses. I've attached a picture of the headlight and circled the part that fits underneath the bumper where the lower bolt goes
on the front bumper you need to stick your hand for the driver's side up and to the left from the front right air dam that is located directly under the driver's side headlight, there just under the housing you will find a screw/hex nut that is holding in the housing the the radiator support structure. it's easier to get at if you have a lift, or if you put it up on jackstands. though, not necessary to take off the front bumper it makes it alot easier to see the bolts. the problem is, you can't get the front bumper cover off without removing the headlights. there are 3 more 'screwbolts' that hold the cover down to the bumper support directly under the cover. To be honest, it's a little more complicated than i've ever seen on a car. however when you finally get it, you'll understand EXACTLY why and how it was done, because its really hard to put into words.
