hi everyone im new to the forum but i just have few questions for you .i purcharse my first 97 eclipse rs but it dosent have a motor nad tranny i wonder when can i find a good place to get them both in souther california im new at the mitsubishi but i want to know what engine to buy for it is 5 spd 97 rs or if any of you guys have anything for my car let me know please....sorry if i dindt post my comment where it belomgs but im so happy for my new car thank you guys

 

The engine you are looking for is a 420a engine and obviously as you already know... the 5spd tranny.

Now, dont get confused with the turbo 4G63 engine that came in the eclipses.. or the tranny thats on those. Neither will work in your car.

So what i recomend you do is call around junk yards looking for one... also remember not to get confused with the neon motor.. it is also a 420a engine.. but its a little different.

You can also try ebay. There are some on there.

just look around in junk yards like sebba said. But you can only get the stuff from a 95-99 eclipse/talon GS/RS
