ho do i make a gsx to awd???

Default ho do i make a gsx to awd???

i have a 1996 eclipse gsx awd i am wanting t make it rwd if i remove the front drive shaft will that make it rwd/??? any help is good thanks

Why would you want it RWD. ? I would kill for an AWD Gsx.

Why in the world would you want a RWD GSX? The draw to the GSX is that it is AWD. If they had a GSX-T, I woulda been looking for one of those instead of a GS-T

^Shaggy... not sure if i'm understanding you correctly, but all GSX's are Turbocharged.. (i think that is what you meant by GSX-T)

To answer the OP, You wouldn't really benefit much from a making it RWD. You would only save, at most 20lbs.

To make it work, starting at the transmission, you might be able to just pull the axles and block the holes. Not sure how happy the center diff would be, or if their would be any consequenses to just blocking the axle holes and not doing any internal work. At the wheel side, you're going to have to figure out a fastener to use in place of the axle. You may be able to use the stock wheel bearing, but I don't remember if it is attached well enough to the knuckle for you NOT to use a fastener. Hope that helps. Have a good night.
