antenna issue

Default antenna issue

hi guys, need some help with my antenna for my 99 eclipse spyder. The antenna won't go down once the engine is shut off, but i could hear the antenna motor running. any help would be great. thanks.

Hey buddy, I hope you get this even though it's almost a month old. I'll pm this to you.

Take out the center and left panels in the trunk (hatch, whatever). The motor and antenna stuff is there on the left. It could be that the plastic 'tail' that I think wraps around a gear (perchance?) is broken or just no longer attached to the motor.

The tail that I speak of is similar to this:
but is white...and doesn't have a cool ring on the end.

...OOOh, just saw the 'spyder' ...This *should* still apply. You will be taking out a panel in the trunk I guess.

i have the same problem almost. it wont go up or do but i dont hear anything either.

My guess is that the antenna motor is dead. Make sure it's 'plugged in.' If it's getting power, but isn't working, I'd say it's shot.
