how do you know if a 6 bolt motor has 2g piston or 1g stock pistons by looing at it?
igot one apart here thats been rebuilt before....

TSG do you have any pics from the bottom of those 2 rods? may have some number there..

Edit: Picture didn't show up. On the rods it says G6 H (2g) and G6M (1g).

Also on the pistons themselves looking from the top, there is a big T on both. The 2g pistons have letters before and after the T, the 1g only has them before. (On mine anyway, may not be like this for all years)

right but there's no way to look at the pistons when they are inside the motor unles you take the head off and then you can still only see the top. i was wondering if there were any numbers on the bottom b/c you can just drop the oil pan and look at which rods are on the crank. btw check ur messages on myspace, i replied, thanks.
