How Much?
And how hard would it be to replace the timing belt, tie rods and water pump on a 1997 Eclipse GST. I might be grabbing a gst and i wanna know how hard and long this would take doing it by myself. Thanks aheadguys.

RE: How Much?
If you are an experienced mechanic I would imagine you could probably do it in about 6hrs. I have done timing belts on hondas before but the 4g63 has about half the room to move your hands in. I am experienced with timing belts but this was my first DSM timing belt and I think it took about 8hrs to do timing belt, water pump, balence belt but thats just me.

RE: How Much?
Iv done it on my friends gsx and you dont want to risk changing the timing belt etc. Like dorian said you have no room. You could lift the driver side of the engine and try but you could slip it out of time. Take it to a "certified" mit. mechanic if your not absolutly confident about attempting this.
