Default I have a problem with my eclipse '97

Hi I have a problem with my eclipse. If you can call it a problem of some sort. My eclipse uses engin oil. Is that normal for an eclipse? A couple of years ago the last owner overhauled the entire engin. Is it that the head is not overhauled correctly?

How many miles are on the engine since the overhaul? Are you sure it was rebuilt? Does it burn oil or have an oil leak or the oil just diapppears? What engine is it, turbo or NA? How much oil in 1000 miles disappears?

Its an GSI engine (Grand Sport Injection) Dohc type (Double Overheaded Camshaft) 16 valve. And to be honest. I have no idea howmuch oil it burns every 1000 miles. I drive 320 miles a week and like every week i have to refill 1 liter. @mxmikie. What do you mean by vss? Im dutch sorry. I dont really know the english names for it. And yes it has been overhauled. I have the reports of the company of them.
And it burns oil. When I let it run stationairy and hit the throthle a bit. It blows blue smoke out of my exhaust.

Ive replaced the Rocker Cover gasket. But seems it was unnecessary. Because my engine is as dry as a cork.
