Im willing to bet thats your problem. I had that happen on my talon. As soon as i come to a stop it would die and i had to keep on the gas to keep it running. I had people jump the car and it would work until i came to a stop again. I couldnt figure out what the hell was the problem. Man did i feel dumb when it was just corrosion and a bad terminal

 

The lights probably from the guy i bought it from and the cd player circut city

 

just start small, change ur terminals first... we'll go from there

 

Yea i look at them and they just need to be cleaned up a little. Question that may be stupid. Is there a way to check my charge pipe and see if it is blown (and what would it look like)or would it be easier for a mechanic

 

Another question......with the new trans..could it be a year or model off from the old one and be confusing the computer.

 

no that shouldnt mess up the computer. I think any 93-99 tranny would work. Or something around the years like that. It might only be 95-99, i dont remember

 

ya, the only way that would mess anything up is if it is a computer from a turbo car to a N/A car... Then your looking at 2 different things.. Or if it was from a different GEN, which most likely isnt the case..

 

dude, its been cold lately, and nothing kills a batter or alternator faster.
Check them both, replace as needed.

 

Just for an update in case anyone cares. I change the battery and the treminals and...................................She starts. so we fixed that and hopefully that was the probably. I will drive her tomarrow and see what happens. Keep your fingers crossed
