i have a 98 eclipse rs and i recently snapped an axle(front passanger). when it snapped waiting for the tow truck i realized the tranny goes into gear without depressing the clutch. the rmps begin to move to about 1,300 and the speed began to rise to 10mph. even miles were building up on the car. the car starts with the clutch so it cant be that unless its the sensor. my axle snapped after hitting a really big pothole about 1 mile after. i want to know how is snapping an axle and my tranny problem connected. help me before i go euro.

 

put a new axel in it and it will cure your problem
