Default Idle Control Valve

My eclipse is actin a fool. The idle has a mind of its own. I had it set around 900 and when i would pull then press the clutch it would totally go down to 100- and then die. So we set it up to 1300 and its good. I was told its the idle control valve.

Is there i was i can clean it or fix it, money is beyond tight.

Did you remove the plug from the ISC when you played with the BISS by chance? You should have.
Does this happen on a cold/hot motor?
Do you mean the FIAV? Fast Idle Air Valve? Yes, the wax pellet is probably shot, but you know the routine....boost leak test....

Cleaning the iac valve is easy. get a can of throttlebody cleaner (safe for sensors and plastic) strip your intake to the throttlebody and spray the cleaner into the throttlebody while the car is on. If you wanna empty the can into it, then make sure you're revving it up high or itll stall.
