Default idle problems

ok so heres the deal. . i have a 98 gs-t 5 speed. the check engine light came on and i went got it tested and it was the throttle position sensor. payed the 150 bucks to get it. put it in and now the car will die after the throttle comes back down from acceleration and isnt even wanting to idle at all and if it does its at about 100rpm. just got this car like a month ago anyone know whats goin on? thanks

Dissconnect the battery for a min. Then put the key in the ignition to drain any excess power and start it back up.

i just tried that, at idle it will bounce from about o-500rpm it will be at 500 and then die and the momentum in the crank will start it back up and it will do this untill it levels off at about 100rpm, should i just adjust the idle control screw, the only reason i havent yet is because it ran fine with the way its ajusted now be4 i had the problems

When you installed the new tps sensor did you make sure you had it set to the right ohm level.

Yes but when you install it you have to tilt the tps sensor one way or another to adjust the readings, if its not correct it will not work properly.
