Default Installing boost gauge/controller

Hey guys I just got a AEM tru boost gauge/controller, I am no that good when it comes to this kind of stuff so I was wondering if you guys had any tips that would be helpful for the install, like where is a good place in teh firewall to run the wires? Also, I am not sure exactly what hose you need to put the selonoid under?

Nice gauge...I dont know what kind or how big of wiring harness you have but i ran the line for my autometer boost gauge right through the steering boot under the dash. What are you tapping for with the solenoid? The boost gauging itself or control?

This is not a good item for a first time tuner, especially when you say " am no that good when it comes to this kind of stuff", no offense and my opinion. It's not difficult to install as the solenoid installs just like a regular boost controller and the boost gauge installs just like a regular boost gauge. The only thing is that it's too tempting to just turn up the boost if you don't know what's going on or why you're hitting fuel cut or even what it is. With that said.

You do have the instructions right?
The pic from the PDF that I got from their site shows how to install the solenoid. Follow the illustration on the right.

The boost gauge is really simple. You tee off the stock FPR line that goes to the intake manifold and you're done.
The tubing, as Nate stated, can be run through the steering wheel boot as just about every DSM'er does it.
The wiring for the solenoid, I would neatly run that to the wiring boot on the passenger side and to the solenoid. Just note where the stock BCS is. You can place the AEM solenoid near there or wherever you want.

Ok so I am installing the controller and I was wondering what the best way is to get the wires through the firewall?

i would probably go by the steering column, you can make your own hole but make sure you protect the wire from the edges of the metal. but really its easier to go through a hole that already has wires going though.

There's the, IMO, best place to slide the wires through. The good thing about wires is that they are very flexible and can be routed just about anywhere

Now the vacuum lines should be routed through the steering wheel boot.

OK so now I was wondering if anyone could tell/show me where I am supposed to connect the boost hose too, it says manifold pressure. I got the wires routed under the battery in the firewall.
