When ever I start up my 98' eclipse it has issues if it starts that easy. I have to give it gas and keep the Rpms at 1500 or it'll go down to like 250 and eventually die. But if I keep it at 1500 for awhile and let it warm up, it runs fine, until I shut it off again. Mechanic said it just needed an air system cleaning, so we did that and it did nothing. So now he's saying my timing is off, causing a vacuum leak.... Any suggestions. I thought it was going to be a fuel pump issue, but he said no. Help me
