do 2 generation eclipses last long? Do they run good after 100,000 miles?

well 2g's actually have the worst problems as far as the motor is concerned. Read up on crankwalk at the top of the eclipse section. As far as going over 100,000 miles i would say you are fine as long as you take care of your car and dont totally beat on it. Keep up on the small fixes especially oil changes. And using synthetic isnt a bad idea either

Yea it all depends on whether you are talking about the RS/GS or the GST/GSX. The RS/GS model Eclipse typically run longer than the GST/GSX, but it really all comes down to how well the car has been/will be taken care of. Also, if you are looking into buying one... have a mechanic look it over first and have him do a compression test to see if the engine is still kickin' like it is supposed to.

Na the 4g63 will go that high too, on machv.com they did a feature where a teal 95 tsi with 180k went 150mph on the salt flats.

Just gotta make sure they're maintained. Any well maintained car will last quite a while.
