and genius, he's putting a new motor in it, so the motor thats in the car doesnt matter, so you might as well use a cheaper model to tear apart

hey "Numnuts", what is the ponit in pulling apart a fast car which is more valuble rather than a slower eclipse that is at the bottom on the food chain when it comes to DSM's... think about it, turbocharged, internals can hold 450whp, better suspension, and faster VS. n/a, barely 110whp stock, internals can hold....200whp?, oh, and cheaper. which one would you choose to buy just to take apart? besides, if he had any common sense he'd use just a shell for the build and wouldn't have much to strip down.
Whoa whoa, what the hell are you talking about dick, people pull apart fast cars all the time
so check your self. I've seen fast gutted cars at the track so u can keep ya mouth shut on that.

And let me tell you something "Mr. 2 Cents" if that's the case then why the hell
when people say they want to do **** to their RS the first thing out their mouth is
"Sell it, buy a GSX or a GS-T." Majority of you on here are always against an RS
period so please do not bring that **** to me, understand?

Would you be the same guy that would sooner tear apart a Porsche Boxster rather than harm a Volkswagon beetle? Its not very cost effective, if you ask me. Swift, it would have been more intelligent to sell a 4g63t powered DSM and purchase a 420a powered one to tear down. I wasnt DOWNING the 420a car. Its not a BAD car, and I dont think youll find too many people that will say that it is. What Im saying is he could have saved himself a LOT of money, and possible even MADE more money to add to the funding of building this monster.

All of you need to calm down. I used a 95 Talon ESI witha blownFWD 420A.I'm a cerified mechanic with 20 years under my belt. I know what all needs done to it. I didn't try to get an FTO over here because due to importation regulations I would have had to buy at least 3 or 4 FTO's for crash testing. And "IF" they passed it would have cost me $25 - $30 K for the car, shipping, and U.S. D.O.T. and EPA conversions. So fari've only spent $3500 on thiscar cause i'm doing the work my self.By the way that V6 is 2.0l 6A12 rated at 200hp stock in the FTO and came with a twin tubo setup in the Galant VR4. "Can't we all just get along"

Look on my behalf I apologize if I have gotten out of line, Porsche? No man I wouldn't touch
exotic/Luxury cars such as that. but were talking about the Eclipse which is in another whole
category. Anyone who guts cars over 50'000 dollars are stupid unless they are rich
and they are jut using it for the track.

dude your just not getting it... I HAVE AN RS... im not bashing the rs... but like me and everyone else is saying that it would be a better idea to hack up the cheaper car and put in a different motor and save the money... and as a matter of fact, i am selling my rs to get a gsx... its a better car, period, not even cause its faster, the all wheel drive is safer, the motor is more efficient and will last longer, and it more "loaded" than an rs... and sorry joker! lol good luck with your project! let us all know how it goes
