well after hearing everyones adivce i think ill just pick up a kit and wont cut my springs. thanks for all the help fellas. i was thinking about about 1 1/4" drop, i dont wanna go too far cuz i bottom out enough as it is haha.

it is not required but it is recommended. if you don't get new shocks, your stock ones will blow eventually. the problem with that is, now you have to pay to have new shocks installed. the install of the shocks and the install of the springs is EXACTLY the same. so you would eventually be paying to have the same job done twice. its much easier to go ahead and replace the shocks while you are replacing the springs.
