anyways heres my reply to the last poster on the previous thread

So would it be better for me to just buy a 4g63 motor? Rather than rebuilding my 420a motor? Is that the engine that came in the turbo model eclipses? (Where would I get one other than a junk yard and how much could I expect to pay?) And would it match up to my transmission or would that even be a problem and as for the motor mounts could I buy them or would I have to make them myself or have them made? Also would I have to move and or remove anything under the hood of my car for this engine to fit or would it just fit right in where my current engine is? (Would it be easier if I took and posted a pic of under the hood of my car to explain all of this to me? lol)

I'm also hearing many different things about the header and exhaust (it’s a cat back if that makes any difference) sound? Some people are saying it would sound great and others say it would sound bad. Does anyone have any real world experience and care to enlighten me on this?

I would also like to thank all of you guys for helping me on everything and putting up with my ignorant questions. I'm just very passionate about this model eclipse and I want to take it above and beyond. I'm willing to learn if someone is willing to teach me just no big complex words

sorry bro but the 4g63 wont fit in the 420a model, its a whole different setup tranny and all!! i have a 97 gs with headers and exhaust and it sounds great, far from a fart can lol yeah but your better off just doing the little you can to the 420a such as headers,exhaust,etc.. and just wait till you get a chance at a gst/gsx, in my opinion... i knew nothing before about my gst till i found this site and if it wasnt for all the guys on here id prolly still be lost, so stick around and youll find yourself eventually knowing your eclipse like the back of your hand!!

aight thanks man appreciate the input and ive been doing some research on my current engine the 420a and the rs eclipse its self, supposidly it weighs 400 pounds lighter than the gst model eclipse and hahn apparently makes some really good turbo's for my 420a so maybe i will keep this engine and just bore out the cyclinders? or w/e? lol im not sure but anything anyone can tell me about buying parts for my engine new cam gears (not quite sure what those are either lol) or anything to increase the power of my current engine?
